For the first time in the history of research both in Spanish and German linguistics, this book undertakes a comparative study of the lexical structures commonly understood as ‘word families’ and the theoretical and methodological bases of their analysis. Using the word families derived from dec(ir) and sag(en) as a main reference point, the study discusses different theoretical approaches and positions.
